I'm looking for a lamp that looks a little something like this:

Silver base, tall and wide, contemporary

This one is from Rooms To Go..the price is right, but I would have to pay $30 for delivery and be at home during the scheduled delivery, blah, blah, blah...it's a big mess and I'd rather order from elsewhere.  Any suggestions?

I'm so excited for this weekend!  My brother, Carter and I are going to The Weenie Roast  hosted by 94.5 the Buzz on today...a concert with 5 bands!

On the bill is...(in case you are going, I put the times for ya - doors are at 4pm)

10 Years, 5:00 p.m.

I have been DYING to see Chevelle for a long time and it's just never worked out...just read this post from last September (scroll to the bottom of it). 

We certainly will be roasting because it's an outdoor concert in Houston and the high is 95.

Grow Lashes Grow: Followup Post

Follow-up product review from this original post. 

I've been using the new Revlon Grow Luscious mascara for a little over a month now.  They are definitley not fuller, but maybe slightly longer.  Regardless, I still love the mascara! 

I'm kicking myself for not taking a "before" shot.  It makes this "after" shot a little useless.  Maybe I'll try after month 2 of use?

Time for a Bargain

I fell in love with this pocketwatch clock at Pottery Barn, but did not want to pay the $59.00 price tag.  Jason and I were even in the store with it in our hands, but I just couldn't do it. 

One week later we were browsing the aisles of Marshall's Home Goods and what did we find...

An amazing PB knockoff for only $19.00!  Yes, please!

Kate Spade Book Clutch

I've been in a bit of a shopping rut lately.  Nothing has really caught my eye while browsing websites.  I've been pretty focused on home stuff instead. 

Until now...

Kate Spade just announced a new line called thier Book of the Month Clutches!  Right now there are 3 versions, each at $325.00.  My favorite is the "Great Gatsby" clutch.  Love the book and the yellow, black and white purse!  

The Dating Game

I was trying to think of something to blog about the other day....I don't feel like anything blog worthy has been happening lately.  Then I got to thinking about my past, particularly past boyfriends and realized that I have some great material stored up! 

I was never afraid to date around.  My philosophy was that through dating the good, the bad and the ugly, you will learn what is good, bad and ugly and eventually find Mr. Right.  I even gave online dating a try after college.  I dated jocks, rockers, prepsters and zeros (although, I didn't realize they were zeros until a bit later). 

I once dated a guy in college who in full seriousness told me about how he was going to invent a machine that would time travel.  I swear to you that he fully believed this.  Remember the book/movie "The Time Traveler's Wife?"  This was not anything like that.  Weirdo.

I dated a musician once who wore more makeup than me.  I'm not talking cool rockstar makeup like eyeliner, I'm talking concealer, foundation and powder...everyday...not just for the stage.  I guess he is the one laughing now because he is topping the country music charts and headlining concerts. 

And guys, never think it's romantic to spray your cologne on a teddy bear as a going away present to remember you by.  This has sadly happened to me on more than one occasion and it's just creepy!

Designer Logos May Be a Thing of the Past

Interesting article on Yahoo today about the growing trend to not flaunt your designer duds.  While the middle class might be proud to show off their heavily logo'd gear, wealthier peeps are opting for a more subtle (yet just as expensive, if not more) designer piece. 

Do you think it's a sign of the times with people feeling guilty for sporting expensive bags and accessories or are people sick of seeing knockoffs on every corner?

We Moved!

Jason and I moved into our new place last weekend!  We love it!  We are slowly getting all settled in.  As soon as we finish unpacking and decorating, I will post lots of pics. 

For now, you will have to live with a quick preview of our mess...

This weekend we went to Dallas for Chris and Jenni's Stock the Bar shower!  It was so much fun and I'm happy to report they now have a fully stocked bar...you guys better have us over soon : ) 

My new job is going really well and Jason starts his new job tomorrow.  Lots of change for the Purifoys, but that's what makes life fun.
