We're Back...

What an exciting month!  May 2010 has been great and busy which is my excuse from my lack of blogging.  I have so much to catch you up on! 

I had a birthday...

Started my provisional year in the Junior League of Houston...

Jason and I just celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary...

And we just got back from a "2nd Honeymoon" in Costa Rica! 

So much happened on our trip.  It was amazing- from staying in the rainforest to night hikes to fishing to being attacked by a monkey.  Lots of blog posts to come soon! 

We also have a crazy busy month of June- 2 weddings, Vegas, and Summer Orientation (my largest work project to date).  I'm so happy to be back and hope to hear from you!

Hit Me With Your Best Shot

Introducing a hot new jewelry line called Bullet Girl from Houston designers, Jessica Meyer and Heather Davis.  If the name didn't give it away for you, the line is made from real bullets.  It's strong and edgy, but with a sweet and feminine flare.  I think I need a piece for my birthday tomorrow!  My fave is the necklace that says Faith.

Houston Hottie

Who is excited for the new season of The Bachelorette starting May 24? 

Houston weatherman, Jonathan Novack (Ch. 2) is one of the contestants this season competing for Ali Fedotowsky!  Spoiler Alert: Reality Steve says he goes home by Episode 4...awww!  It will be fun to see a localebrity compete this season! 

In case Reality Steve is wrong, Go Jonathan! 

He just looks like a Bachelor...Andrew Firestone meets Jake Pavelka.  Maybe next season?

My Fair Lazy

Last week I attended a book signing at Borders Houston for Jen Lancaster's new book, My Fair Lazy.  I L-O-V-E her...the book signing has been on my calendar since January, people! 

After having met her, I love her even more.  She read an excerpt from the book about being pressured into buying $400 worth of loose tea in China Town, answered audience questions (her fave designer Target line is Liberty of London) and signed books! 

So much fun!  I've already started the book and it is fabulous- if you don't have it yet, get it below from Amazon!

This is her 5th book- all are great, but I love the first, Bitter is the New Black.

So this post is a day behind...it's never too late to show love and appreciation to your mom.  I love you Mom...thank you for always being there for me - even if it's to "butt in" in or share the truth.  I love our lunches and girls days the best!  You are the best mom ever and my best friend. 

Can't wait for Costa Rica!!!

BuzzFest Recap

Last Sunday Jason and I got our geezer butts up for BuzzFest...an all day long music festival.  I hoped that we would make it through the entire day & night because I was so excited about every band.  It was a gorgeous day and we had the BEST time...we even lasted until the bitter end...we didn't get home until after midnight on a worknight!!!

Before the show...we were ready to go!

In our seats...we paid extra to have a covered seat because I wasn't sure how long we would last on the hill.  We did one set on the hill to get some sun...look how gorgeous the weather was!

30 Seconds To Mars...yes, that is Jared Leto with a pink mohak!

Very end of the day...exhausted, but ready for some more!

Seether rocked it!

And then time for the head liner...Limp Bizkit.  The guitar player is notorius for wearing the craziest costumes...

And he did not disappoint!
