The Animals of Belize

You know how much I love animals, so when we travel, I get really excited to see different creatures from the ones at home. This trip I saw lots of lizards, stingrays, a weird raccoon-looking thing that people keep as pets, and eels. The place where we stayed did an eel feeding every morning! It was super cool.

I forgot what they guys were called, but poor things were on a leash and people would charge to get a picture of them.

The best animal adventure we had in Belize was feeding the tarpon at Sunset Grill. Pictures don't do it justice so a video of us is below...and yes, I feed one at the very end!

  1. We saw something like your first picture in Honduras and they called them pizote. I Googled it and here is what showed up on Wikipedia since they know everything. ;-)
