Five on Friday

Happy Friday ya'll!  We have a huge weekend ahead of us.  Jack is getting baptized on Sunday so we have family coming in town and staying with us (for the second weekend in a row...this mama is tired) plus we are hosting a celebration at our casa Sunday after church.  I'm so excited to celebrate this special moment in Jack's life.

Another Friday linkup with the gals is upon us!

Have you heard that the Houston Moms Blog will be launching soon!  A blog friend of mine, Emily over at Being Mrs. Gentry is a contributor over at the Fort Worth Moms Blog and I was jealous that Houston didn't have one...until now!

My BIG NEWS that I'm so excited to share with you is that I've been chosen to be one of the blog's official contributors!!!!

Stay tuned for more information about the launch of Houston Moms Blog and don't forget to join our Facebook page

Stella & Dot's Fall/Winter Catalog is out.  I don't sell Stella & Dot, but I sure do love it!  I was invited to a trunk show in a few weeks so maybe I can buy myself a little happy...loving the new Frida necklace.  Do you have any favorite new pieces?  Looking for a Stella & Dot stylist?  Check out Lauren...she is awesome and will be happy to help and answer any questions you have.

If you are a new mom or mom to be, I have to recommend the Itzbeen Pocket Nanny Baby Care Timer.  It tracks the last time you fed, changed and put baby down for a nap...get it...itzbeen how long?  This little timer floats around our house and keeps all of us...me, Jason and the nanny, all on the same page.  Could you live without this...sure, but it does make life easier.  I also use it to track how much sleep I get each night.  As our nanny says, God bless America!

I mentioned above that Jack is being baptized on Sunday.  I'm so excited, but also so nervous that he will scream the entire time.  He is normally an angel at church, but I'm afraid all of the fanfare surrounding the big event will stir things up.  Any tips?

  1. I'm so thrilled about The Houston Moms Blog!!

As for the baptism...go with the flow...just relax & enjoy it for what it really is! If you do it in a large group, there will be plenty of other babies screaming, too ;) I've done it twice, so I've learned to just relax. He'll do great, momma!

Have a wonderful weekend celebrating your precious lil guy!

  2. That's so awesome! In the short time that I've been contributing, I've had so much fun getting to know other moms from all around town. We have so much in common being moms even though we are all so different. You're going to love it.

Thanks for the shout out, too! :)

    1. It went great Jenn! Hopefully posting pics soon. Jack was an angel (phew) except for picture time which is totally understandable in my book. Hope you are having a great week!
