Weekend Recap

We had another fantastic weekend spent celebrating our baby and preparing for his arrival!

Friday

After treating myself to a mani/pedi after work Jason and I watched Dexter and ordered Chinese food...our favorite Friday night thing to do these days!  We are already into Season 6 of Dexter, having just started from Season 1 a few months ago.

Saturday

Saturday we had our fourth and final baby shower in Richmond.  This one was with all of my step-dad's family.  I have a full recap post coming soon, but the shower was wonderful!  It was a couples shower with a mustache theme. 

After all of the festivities, we were wiped so we stayed in (with Lupe Tortilla) and watched a scary movie...The Collection.  If you like gore, I highly recommend.  It's from the same people who do the Saw movies. 

Sunday

We did LOTS of baby prep and I again pushed myself too hard ending up with cankles and major back pain by the end of the day.  Oh well, at least we were productive!  I washed all of Jack's newborn clothes, socks, hats, etc, and Jason cleaned out his deathtrap car.  We also put together Jack's highchair and umbrella stroller that we received at the shower the day before!

After way too much research, we ended up going with the Boon Flair highchair and Uppababy G-Luxe Umbrella Stroller. 

Sunday afternoon we attended Caroline's first birthday party which was so, so cute and special!  First time for Jason to witness a "smash cake" and it was great to see my girlfriends one more time before baby comes.
