Planning for the Holidays {Plus a $200 Giveaway}

This is a sponsored post by Dr. Smith's, but all opinions are my own.  As always, I only work with brands that I use and love.

Happy Monday!  Can you believe it's mid-October?  We were home all weekend with a sick little boy, but I so enjoyed seeing everyone's family pictures from the pumpkin patch all weekend on Facebook and Instagram.  Hopefully we can get out to one next weekend.  Family pumpkin patch pictures are a must on our fall bucket list!

2013
Once Halloween is over, the holiday season gets kicked into high gear for our family.  Between Christmas shopping, holiday parties, and getting around Texas to see all of our five sets of families, it gets a little {a lot} hectic.

Can anyone else relate to this?

My Holiday To-Do List Includes:

-  Shopping
-  Wrapping
-  Visit Santa
-  Decorate the House
-  Family Pictures for Holiday Card
-  Print & Mail Holiday Cards
-  Baking
-  Plan family holidays visits :: the most stressful of all!

We LOVE seeing all of our families - each one has a totally unique vibe and own set of traditions.  My favorite holiday traditions include watching Elf after Thanksgiving lunch, Chinese food after Church on Christmas Eve, and our annual Tacky Sweater Enchilada Night.

Between running around from event to event, shopping for the perfect gifts and traveling around Texas, we are on-the-go constantly between November - January.  Adding a little one into the mix makes it so much more meaningful and special...but it also makes planning a little trickier!

Last year I discussed some tips for navigating a crazy Christmas season

I've also found it so important to have the perfect diaper bag packed and car essentials stowed away - iPad, snacks, Jack's favorite blankie and all of the fun diaper changing essentials.

I'm so thrilled that Dr. Smith's (our faithful diaper rash ointment brand) is now available in a spray!!!  It's the same effective, yet gentle formula that we fell in love with in the ointment form, but now so fast, easy {and less messy}!  Yes, this stuff is handy to have at all of our changing stations in our home, but it makes diaper changes while traveling a breeze!

I'm sure all of you moms can relate to the need for a QUICK diaper change during a road trip pit-stop.  Why Buc-ee's gas stations (known in Texas for their clean restrooms and quick lines) hasn't thought to add extra diaper changing stations is beyond me.

To celebrate their new spray option, Dr. Smith's is giving away some prize packs for a few lucky readers of The Perfect Catch!  One first place winner will receive a $200 VISA Gift Card AND a Dr. Smith's Prize Pack.  And three lucky ones will receive Dr. Smith's Prize Packs.  Enter below to win.  The giveaway will end on Sunday, October 19th at midnight.  Good luck!
