Weekend Recap: Labor Day Edition

I hope you had a great {long} weekend!  Ours went too fast as always and for some weird reason I'm looking forward to getting the week going.  I have a mile long to-do list that I'm ready to tackle!

Saturday

Saturday morning we were up bright and early for a 3D Ultrasound to see Baby Colin!  We took Jack with us thinking it would be fun to see his reaction.  Everything turned out perfectly.  Jack was great - he enjoyed it for about 1 minute and then was ready to watch his cartoons, but that's okay.  We got to see Colin's sweet and chubby face which looks just like Jack's and we saw that he seems to have a lot of long hair.  We saw lots of yawns and other fun expressions.  He loves holding his hands in front of his face and pulling his toes to his mouth!

Afterwards, we got breakfast at Chick-fila and let Jack play a bit, then headed to Academy to get Jason a shirt for the Texas A&M game he was attending later that day for work.

Jason had to leave for NRG Stadium and the A&M Game around 2:30 so Jack and I had the afternoon to ourselves.  Of course that meant resting a bit, a trip to Target and Hobby Lobby, selfies for Jason and Mexican food!

 Sunday

Sunday we had lots of boring things to do with the house and a trip to Sears to look at new kitchen appliances.  We finally got to try Torchy's Tacos for lunch which did not disappoint!

Jack didn't nap long and Jason was beat from the night before so I loaded up Jack and we visited some friends in the neighborhood who were having a lemondade stand.  Jack had a blast and didn't want to leave.

Next stop was my mom's house.  She just put together a nursery setup in her guest room for Jack and Colin and she was excited to show us!

Monday

Monday was spent doing normal "Sunday" chores like the grocery store, Jason prepping for a work presentation and meal planning.  We did go back to Sears and buy a few new appliances for the kitchen that needed replacing including a dishwasher, double ovens and cook-top.  Not the most exciting of days, but the boys did play in the pool in the afternoon with Jason's sister while I rested a bit and made dinner.  Some weekends you just have to be productive...and not take any pictures, oops!

Have a great week!  Don't forget to stop back by this week.  Scarf Swap 2015 details are being posted on Wednesday and a fun maternity clothing review and giveaway is coming up on Thursday!
