Cheering for a Mosquito

Last week Jason and I attended the very first game for the Sugar Land Skeeters (minor league baseball). My company purchased season tickets and with 70 homes games this season, I'm thinking we will get to go again!  Even though it wasn't pro baseball, it had all of my favorite baseball things: hot dogs, ice cream and fireworks.  Since it was the first game of the inaugural season in the brand new stadium, there was lots to see: Yolanda Adams performed the National Anthem, an eagle soared through the field, and the best firework show I've ever seen...too bad the the Skeeters lost.

And in case you were wondering, a "skeeter" is a mosquito...yes, the team was named for the most annoying insect in the world that drives Houstonians crazy year-round.  I don't get it.
