I clearly don't have much experience, but I can give you a new mom/newborn point of view! I will say that those of you thinking that boy moms don't have as much fun dressing their little ones, you are so wrong. We may not get bows and tutus, but there are so many precious boy clothes out there, I've had a blast dressing my little man.

Jack's style (if you can label a 4 month old's style) is preppy...probably since that is how my husband dresses. Even before Jack was born, my girlfriends and I would say "oh, that's so Jack," while looking at a baby polo and plaid short outfit.
I don't like dressing him in clothes that aren't super soft and comfy too. He lays around all day...what's the point of dressing up? We always go a little dressier on Sundays for church though! I have found that I prefer one-pieces at this stage. They are so much easier when getting the babe in and out of his infant seat.
My favorite places to shop so far have been Gap, Carter's, Macy's and Target. Jack has a lot of Ralph Lauren too! The prices are right and the outfits are so adorable.
Gap - Love their polos, knit shorts and graphic tees

Carter's - Favorites include the zip-up footed pajamas (MUST be zip-up), short and tee sets (especially plaid shorts), onesies (they have the softest)
Carter's |
Target - Onesies (love the Cherokee and Circo brand onesies) and accessories
Circo chevron onesie from Target |
Macy's - A great go-to place for Carter's and Ralph Lauren.

He is a dapper little man!

DeleteWhat a cutie!! I also love to go to TJ Maxx for Ralph Lauren outfits.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ashley! Good to know about TJ Maxx!!! Macy's usually doesn't put their Ralph Lauren on sale so that is great to know.
DeleteThat latest picture of Jack with the blue checker shirt just melts me, Chelsea! Such a cutie!!! I totally agree on keeping it comfortable when they're little--there's nothing worse than stiff, scratchy clothes on a baby! As for the Ralph Lauren stuff, I've had good luck at Marshall's and TJ Maxx too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Vanessa! I love Arden's vintage outfit post. Her style is exactly how I would/will dress a little girl. Thanks for the Marshall and TJ Maxx heads up. I always forgot about those places!
