Citrus Lane Subscription Box Review and Discount Offer

Subscription boxes are the most fun!  I know the market is a bit saturated with them right now, so it's important to choose wisely and not go overboard.  Currently I just have two subscriptions: one for $10/month for Birchbox, a monthly beauty product box and one for $25/month (first month was only $15) to Citrus Lane a monthly baby & mommy box.

I received my first Citrus Lane box a few weeks ago and was extremely happy with it!  You can sign up here and get $10 off your first box!!!  Citrus Lane's mission is to help parents keep up with their children's changing needs, help them discover the best products and brands, and spend more time enjoying the experience together.  The boxes are customized for you based on your child's age.

I tried another baby/mommy box for a few months before Jack was born and I wasn't very impressed.  The products for me were okay, but the products for baby seemed cheap.  Needless to say, I had low expectations for this box, but was blown out of the water with this company.

Back to Citrus Lane, this month I received 5 products:

Skip Hop Chime Ball - this is my favorite thing from the box.  This is a full-size toy that Jack absolutely loves.  He has lots of stroller toys, but not one like this that rolls as he plays with it.  The ball is supposed to encourage babies to crawl.  I was also impressed with the brand!  I love everything Skip Hop comes out with.  $10.00 retail value

Dr. Smith's Diaper Rash Ointment - I'm already a Dr. Smith's convert, however I love getting these samples because they are the perfect size for the diaper bag.  I got two sample sizes and two coupons for $2 off my next purchase!  Estimated $6 retail value

Julep Nail Color - I'm usually not jazzed by nail polish, but I scored the best plum color for fall!  Love it so, so much!  This also came with a discount code for 20% off my next julep.com purchase.  $14.00 retail value

Ammo Skinny Board Book: Charley Harper 123s - This is a great book for Jack.  It is a standard size book (I say this because some subscription boxes give little magazine type books).  This was the real deal.  Very colorful, sturdy and I love that it has so many shapes, numbers, colors and animals.  Also came with a discount code for 30% off future purchases  $9.95 retail value

- Playful Wash from Episencial - This is another full-size product.  It's an ultra-gentle head to toe wash.  Jack has been having so many skin issues lately, I probably won't use it just yet, but will save for later.  $9.00 retail value

Total retail value of September's Box:  $48.95
Paid:  $15.00 (since this was my first box)

The cost per box for Citrus Lane is between $21-$25 depending on which membership you go with.  I'm doing the month to month for $25/month.  I love this option because you can cancel at anytime.  Click here to get $10 off your first box!!!

I can't wait to receive October's box!  I will report back and let you know what was inside.

What subscription boxes are you currently receiving?
